Day 2: Month-long-anniversary: The Book that prompt me to do Book Reviews (Twilight Saga Giveaway)

Hi there,

In every blogger/book reviewer, is a book that started it all for her/him. In my case, I started to be very interested in reading back in late 2010. A friend of mine bought a book called Twilight. What I know is it's a vampire story--that's it, I wasn't a little bit interested even in it's cover. But this friend left it to me at lunch, and from that hour-break, I opened the book and read its first chapter, the next thing I know I've read the whole series.

Twilight (Twilight, #1)New Moon (Twilight, #2)

Eclipse (Twilight, #3)Breaking Dawn (Twilight, #4)

After reading Twilight, I've read Harry Potter and finish the whole series in a month, reading each book in one-sitting, stopping only when hungry or when I don't have the next book yet, yeah, I know, I was years behind the sensational Harry Potter-- but atleast I've been able to read it :D

Twilight might not really be the best/perfect vampire/love-story/paranormal or you can call it everything, it's not even the vampire-human- love-story that was it's best gift to the readerworld----it's legacy--is opening the world of literature for a lot of readers who wouldn't have ever considered reading any fiction---like myself! I'm not a big fan of Twilight, but I do love it! Besides, the fame of Twilight was the birth of the Paranormal world---- and look around you, a lot of Paranormal books are on site- all thanks to Stephenie Meyer.

GIVEAWAYS
To commemorate the Twilight effect on me- I'll be giving away The Twilight Saga Series, yes, all four books to three lucky followers--
First Winner- Hardback copies

We don't guarantee a fairytale ending, but we do guarantee smart romance for smart women. Imagine a world of romance...

...without formulas

...without guilt

Omnific is romance...without rules.

Omnific Publishing accepts submissions in many subgenres of romance, including contemporary, historical, paranormal, suspense, and erotic romance, but will also consider fantasy/urban fantasy, science fiction, and chick lit with strong romantic elements. The company's current open submission policy provides authors opportunities in the fast growing e-publishing market that may otherwise be unavailable in traditional publishing.

Omnific Publishing is a woman-owned enterprise and is staffed by a team of professionals, with a wealth of experience as writers, editors, graphic artists, and marketers in a quality-focused publication environment.

Omnific Publishing is a royalty-offering publishing company that welcomes queries for novel length pieces in the above mentioned subgenres. Authors may submit a query letter to: submissions@omnificpublishing.com.

Bookshelf Confessions is looking for BOOK REVIEWERS!

Hi everyone, as you noticed I'm not posting reviews as often as I do last year. My studies have made it difficult to read books and then review for our quizzes and upcoming mock board exams this October. That's why I'm asking you guys for help, anyone who is interested in becoming a Bookshelf Confessions Reviewer is very much appreciated.

I'm looking for persons who are okay with their reviews to be posted on this site. They may post their reviews on other commercial sites too. Preferably, persons who do not have an established book review blog, amazon and goodreads is okay. Persons who just want to read and review books but doesn't want the hassle of setting up a blog.

Here's the deets:
A. What I'll require from you is an honest review of the book:
Reviews must include but are not limited to:
1) your honest opinion
2) synopsis

B. E-book review copies will be available and some print books too ( can be International). I'll be sending the list once I approve of your applications.

C. Genre include YA, adult, fantasy, sci-fi, paranormal, romance, and other fiction types. I don't review nonfiction (sorry). Can either be indie or published.

If you are interested, fill the form below: if it doesn't load, click the form here

Bookshelf Confessions Update #1

Hi my dear readers, this post will answer some of your  queries..
Anyways , thanks for all of your greeting, and for those who don't know yet, I have a birthday giveaway in this post: it will close in a few days so hurry..:D

Query no. 1, I saw from your blog that it's first year anniversary is Oct 1, how come you're not buzzing about it like the other bloggers used to?

Answer: I'm really busy these days, in fact I'm having my departmental exam today (Financial Accounting Vol 3 and Managerial Accounting tomorrow) that's a heck of two major subjects. Unlike in the US, here in the Philippines, the first semester starts in June and ends October. But before I could enjoy the semestral break, I must face the challenge that will determine whether I'll pass or fail and I don't think I can handle it if I can't pass.>:D

the thing all students want to avoid, but cannot..:(
If only I could do this, unfortunately I have promised for blog tours, giveaways, and book blast, so here I am blogging again instead of studying:D
Unintelligible numbers

Late night sleep.. If you could consider sleeping at past 12 midnight and waking at 4 am.

and lots of books that need to be read..!!!!!
It won't really be a surprise I'm stressed

.  Plus, for the last two week of October, I'll be on vacation in some island where internet connection might not be feasible.>:D.. It's not actually because of the location, but seriously look at the pictures below, and it won't be a surprise if I totally forgot to blog for the 2 weeks I'll be there.:D By the way, it's in the island of Palawan, Philippines

Take a look:

Palawan Underground River is one of the new seven wonders of the world

So, since I don't have enough time to think about the giveaways and organize the anniversary, I opt to not celebrate this October, but instead I'll be celebrating it November.. 2nd week or later..

so I think that's all for now..
Thanks for reading and visiting this blog..
and I hope you could visit Palawan too>>:D
