Day 2: Month-long-anniversary: The Book that prompt me to do Book Reviews (Twilight Saga Giveaway)

Hi there,

In every blogger/book reviewer, is a book that started it all for her/him. In my case, I started to be very interested in reading back in late 2010. A friend of mine bought a book called Twilight. What I know is it's a vampire story--that's it, I wasn't a little bit interested even in it's cover. But this friend left it to me at lunch, and from that hour-break, I opened the book and read its first chapter, the next thing I know I've read the whole series.

Twilight (Twilight, #1)New Moon (Twilight, #2)

Eclipse (Twilight, #3)Breaking Dawn (Twilight, #4)

After reading Twilight, I've read Harry Potter and finish the whole series in a month, reading each book in one-sitting, stopping only when hungry or when I don't have the next book yet, yeah, I know, I was years behind the sensational Harry Potter-- but atleast I've been able to read it :D

Twilight might not really be the best/perfect vampire/love-story/paranormal or you can call it everything, it's not even the vampire-human- love-story that was it's best gift to the readerworld----it's legacy--is opening the world of literature for a lot of readers who wouldn't have ever considered reading any fiction---like myself! I'm not a big fan of Twilight, but I do love it! Besides, the fame of Twilight was the birth of the Paranormal world---- and look around you, a lot of Paranormal books are on site- all thanks to Stephenie Meyer.

  1. The Twilight Saga too gave me back my love affair with reading. Although I have to say I am way over this series it would be great to have on hand for when my youngest daughter wants who likes to read is ready for it.

  3. Congrats on the anniversary.

You know, I honestly cannot remember what book got me into reading. I started reading at age 3, and I have always loved reading.

But, some of the series I loved most as child were: Trixie Belden, Little House, and Sweet Valley High, so I believe those are what kept me reading at that time.

Nowadays, I read mostly mangas and graphic novels.

  4. I've been an avid reader since my very first book. My mom took me to the library at least once a month, so I had always picked out books by scanning the shelves for certain genres or whatever covers caught my eye. But then I discovered The Hunger Games. It catapulted me into a whole new bookish world. I discovered so many new series that I never would have found at the library (since the hold list was so long, they would never even make it to the shelves). THG rekindled my love for great character development and story telling.
