Witchblood (Witchblood #1)
When Jess steals a glance at a gorgeous guy in a Manchester nightclub, little does she realise how he is going to change her life…or should that be death? Yet, the vampire clan could never have predicted what they were taking on.
With Luke pronounced ‘off-limits’ and the blood of a vampire simmering in Jess’s body, can she forget the love of her life and move on? If not, she will risk exposing the entire Northern vampire clan to untold dangers, in order to live her life the way she wants.
Can Jess be sure that Luke is all he appears to be? Will she succumb to the attraction she desperately tries not to feel for Daniel? And why does she still crave a packet of crisps more than a tasty teenage boy’s blood?
Hi Bookshelfconfessioners, I'm honored to welcome Emma Mills author of the WitchBlood series here on our site. She will tell us about her prospective Cast for the said series. Plus at the end of the post, is a giveaway of one of her books to the lucky commenter.
It’s always great fun to do a ‘Dream Cast’ post. My only problem is that being in my thirties a lot of the Hollywood stars that come to mind are often too old to play the characters in my books! But it’s still great to imagine having my series made into Hollywood films with an unlimited budget at my disposal! So I’ve had a good hunt through Google and come up with the following cast listing for WitchLove:
Jess is quite tricky because I considered Jennifer Lawrence as I think she is a great role model for girls and I love her refusal to starve for Hollywood… but I think Jess needs to be English. She is an English girl and I rather think Emma Watson might just have the right amount of vulnerable independence about her!
Daniel only came to me whilst watching Glee the other week. One quick Googling later and my mind was made. Don’t you think Dean Geyer would make a perfect Daniel? His hair would need to be a bit darker!
I have always imagined Luke looking like Zac Effron. He is a bit too old now, but he has the right look.
Brittany is a tough one because she has half Latin blood and dark hair, but is only fifteen. The actress that comes to mind is Selena Gomez, but again at 20yrs old she is probably too old to pull Brittany off.
Eva is easy. There is nobody better to play smart, sexy, confident vampire, Eva than Mila Kunis.
So if Jennifer Lawrence wasn’t playing Jess, I’d have her for Saffy’s older sister, the wayward witch, Susannah and Emma Roberts would make a good all American, spoilt Saffy:
I could go on and find the rest of the Supernatural council but I think I’ve used up enough blog space! Thanks for hosting me! xxxx
Thanks so much Ms. Emma, that's a very impressive list of characters!

Hi I'm Emma. I am happily married with two lovely children. I have always loved reading and writing and published my first novel WitchBlood in Jan 2012 with Witchcraft following in June and WitchLove due in Feb 2013. After acquiring an obsessive love of supernatural teen novels...yes I'm a Twilight fan...I decided to write my own supernatural story based here in Manchester in the UK, near where I live and grew up. It's currently dark, windy, cold and very very wet... and easy to get inspiration.
