the title of this book, really pick my interest..well, i'm a proud christian..
but looking back in this book...the story actually centers not to Jesus but to another man whom He healed...
this is a new kind of literature,..in the sense that it uses the bible verses and history facts about Jewish life...
this book is actually good,...it does not only serve as for leisure purposes..but also for knowledge and meditation..
i'm so proud of the author..because of his using God's word..in telling a good story.
Jesus in Hell, is a remarkable one,,if you just let yourself indulge in it..

Review: The Clock King and the Queen of the Hourglass

Clock King and the Queen of the Hourglass by Vera Nazarian is about Liaei, the last of the race of homo sapiens (of course, we, humans) who was born out of the best sperm and egg cells in a laboratory in the future. It’s about her journey to be the mate of the Clock King and to find her own self and protect the dying earth and the soon-to-be-extinct human versions.
This book is also about her training to be efficient, learning her self-identity, surpassing her difference from others and acquiring true knowledge.
I must admit that at the first paragraphs, I assumed this book to be boring. I’m usually a sci-fi person but the words, descriptions are just too high for my mental capability..lol But when Liaei is born and growing, I started to understand the future world I’m being thrown into.
Thumbs up for the very good work of Ms. Nazarian, making a vivid description of the future million years from now. You could really imagine yourself in the middle of the very large scorching sun almost red and orange, the toxic ocean, the scarcity of water and minerals as well as energy, and the extinction of animals just like dinosaurs did today.
What really amazes me is how she describes how future humans look. They don’t have hairs (eyebrows, in the head, in genitals and even no eyelashes), I can’t imagine how a person would look like that. Men and women looked like the same, same body structure and their reproductive organs are reduce to non-functional parts. And guess what? They even laugh about the ancient pornographs, they’re not obsessed with sex anymore. I think they reproduce through test-tube babies.
2 things aren’t clear to me though, how are this future version of humans formed? An what is really the rule of the Queen of the Hurglass?..hmmp..
All in all, this book is a product of a rich and wild imagination, and if you like books about the future, you should grab this one..:)

Campaign Promises is a novella by Laurel Osterkamp, a story of a high-school girl Lucy and her humorous principles and ideas about politics and politicians, how she compare politics in everyday situations and how she grown up in the midst of politics, though she’s just in charge of the campaign.
The life of Lucy is rather insignificant compared to the life and opinions about the politicians presented in this novella. Lucy’s own story though, I appreciate the suspense of who she’s going to end up with, it develop rather fast or maybe just because this is a novella, that might be the reason. But as I’ve noticed the author writes stages of her life, making the story a fast-paced one, and jumping from one time to another, nevertheless, it’s defined clearly and well-written.
The characters develop well and most of life issues are tackled here, like family, death, break-ups, high school drama, first love, views about marriage, untimely pregnancy and elections. The words used have the power to make the readers believe and read more.
I honestly like this book and the idea it presented. Ms. Osterkamp writes clearly and has her own way of words to better communicate with the readers. I guess this novella, is more like a political analyst article than a story but the fusion is really great..:)

At first, I’m not so interested with this book, the cover is wonderful but I thought it’s boring , well, I mean so religious , what with the rosary and ring..(sorry!).. but that’s my mistake when I started reading this book, it was thrilling and interesting!
The storyline is unique ( yep, I haven’t heard anyone like this).. and of course the characters are well-selected and unique in their own way.
As I’m sure like any reader would say, I felt the characters… especially Gabriel when he made his ultimate decision, when one part of you wanted it for yourself and another for others.
The alternating stories of the past and present are well-written, coming up on the right time. Both stories Gabriel and Michael are identical and inspiring. And what happened to both of their lives are just proofs that God meant His children to be well. Actually, I didn’t expect Michael’s life to end that way..I though he’s gonna oopss…:)
At the very end, I was a little bit lost as to what the war was for…although I understand how it ended….maybe for power? Dominance?
The book left me asking myself that if ever that happens to me, would I let God used me? Would I become His beloved?... If you think of it it’s actually hard you know….
Every aspect of the society or family was also talked about… family, father and child, a child toward others, brothers, friends and others..
So for everyone who wants a good story truly inspired by God.. grab this one now!

A nice book not just for children but also for young adults, and as one, I enjoyed it a lot..
The words are conversational and the descriptions are vivid….the illustrations also help to guide the readers , especially it would be really attractive for children…
My 12-year-old sister actually finished the book first than me, and I have to read it, since she’s claiming the story is awesome and a must-read… Well, she’s right, I easily find myself engrossed and enjoying the story so well..
I won’t say that the story is unique since I believe that there are wishes and grants that could gone awry..sometimes what you meant for good, would turn out to be bad…and sometimes it’s better to be contented… that said but there’s something in this book that would make you want to consider the former notions…
Maybe the book is quite funny… the events are ever-flowing, and there’s no boring part… the story also kept some mysteries…and it’s good that Ms. McQuestion dropped out hints of these mysteries… it would make you think, be shocked and smile..
I also love the addition of faeries in the story, it makes you see another world of magic although of course their help are hidden from humans and beside the fae world also have their own story to tell…
I enjoyed the friendship, the magic, the dog :)….and the ending…expected but still unbelievable..:)..

The book I guess is not just for children, even young adults or adults even may be interested and fascinated by the vivid drawings and the conversational tone the writer used. The language or words I mean, is not so much as for little ones..I think it’s meant to be read by adults to very young ones.
It’s simplicity makes it easier for children to grasp, especially talking about magical beings…merpeople as showcased in this one pique the interest of young minds…:)
There’s also a bit of humor to the story that would make a reader smile and said..”true”..
The ending was great especially when the storyteller said..But I did get a message from her to pass on to you. She said, “Tell your young ones to take care of the sea”.
I just wish though, that maybe she should elaborate this one out…or just write some words to better emphasize what the book is all about. Or maybe Ms. Roberts just want we, the not so young ones, to explain it ourselves to them, which I guess is much better.
All in all, the book is good and highly recommended for children or to those wanna-be-children.

Has anyone heard of a fairytale or a children’s story with a witch as the protagonist?.. Well, here’s one and it’s a good one.
Actually better than good since underneath its words and the story itself is a deeper message that should be understood by everyone, especially by children.
It made me realize that it’s not really necessary to solve a problem with the solution you’re thinking, sometimes there are remedies everywhere that we just have to look and see for ourselves… and sometimes what we need is not a helping hand to solve it, but to help us withstand it.
Also, it’s a good take on witches since children are always afraid of them..but in this case witches are like faerie godmothers Cinderella have..:)..Plus the addition of the witch’s guardian angel.
As the first book, the tone and words are conversational..easy for children to understand,..but there are subtle meanings that I guess the parents should be the one to explain to them. And of course, the illustrations are definitely accurate and nice. It’s also a well-written book, with vivid and child-friendly descriptions...
My baby brother loves the book and I love it too.......so grab this one now for your little ones..:).....

Neither did I read the back cover of the book nor the summary of the story when I decided to read Chance in Hell.. so I’m a bit clueless as to why would Mr. Kampman titled it Chance in Hell…I even thought of dark things like maybe the protagonist was really in a literal hell… But I smiled to myself, when it turned out, it was the name of the main character… Chance…So it figures!
What I like most about the book is ..there is no boring page in it..all of it speaks action..from the first page up to the last…I find myself turning it eagerly page by page....and when it comes to an end, I want more of it..I even said..that’s it?
I enjoyed a great deal reading within those words, a lot of vampires, werewolves, witches, demons, vampire hunter all pact into one…what more can a paranormalist ask for (is that even a word?..:) )
The story is well-written,..and each of the characters would gnaw at your soul…yeah..like you want to be sympathetic and understanding to each of them, even though you know you have to side with only one....It was a fast-read....with lots of chasing and hiding...
The struggling war between werewolf gangs though for me seems not really elaborated in the book…it mostly centers on romance and the demon-thing (my very own opinion)…I like it absolutely though, the jealousy between the vamp and the were is too much..i giggled sometimes thinking they don’t even have the right to be since Chance didn’t choose who he really wants yet…
It was fascinating that given how unlucky Chance was to land in that situation, he still is very fortunate to find good friends who helped him a lot…
Mr. Kampman provided us a good telltale about supernatural beings, combined into a book of endless adventure, action and magic….

Ms. Magers wrote a wondrous tale that would left out readers feeling blessed and in love…
This book is all about second chances and what you do with it… often people , once they experienced pain and sorrow especially for love, they’ll be afraid to try again and believe…
I love and I’m inspired by the main character Maggie Magphye, she is the kind of person who welcomes problems with a smile..she easily forgives, does not bury hatreds, kind to everyone, although her little weakness is how unlucky she is… Imagine, from all of her marriages, not one was successful?... anyone would give up, if that happened to them… also her misfortunes make me believe that sometimes it need to happen in order for good things to come.
My next favorite is Michael Sanders, a pilot who resigned because of his family accident blaming himself all throughout those years, even though he has nothing to do with it, and he can’t do anything with it, he was also one of the passengers in the Cruise, and I love the fact that he didn’t really give up on Maggie…
Follow Maggie’s travel in the Cruise as she finds friendship, love and herself…

I wrote a Girl's Guide to Guys as a kind of self-help book for teenagers to help them with relationships. It's not too serious, and includes loads of advice on how to chat to boys, and how to handle dates and stuff. I wrote it because I just wished that there was a book like it to help me on what to do when it comes to boys, because I found it a nightmare when I was younger! It all started when I was 16. It was summer and I was bored, so i decided to write a lads guide for myself, just for fun. I read shout all the time and I loved how chatty and funny it was, so I decided to write with the same attitude - keeping it fun and positive! Chatting to boys can be so stressful and serious, but shout showed me it doesn't have to be. It's always packed with great advice, and I learned so much about boys from it, which was a great help for writing the book!
Dealing with boys will never be a problem again, with A Girl’s Guide to Guys, any girl could now have a handy manual on how to meet them, manage them and all that love stuff with them…
I especially like the author’s chatty tone, it was just like to talking to a close friend about relationships and love… I somehow become so connected to it, I think it might pass as my bestfriend..:)…
What I love most about this book is not just the contents but the manga art as well… OMG!...it’s really perfect, it somehow captures my attention, and I’m sure the other girls as well, the illustrations are perfect, it showed the kind of guys described...and they are all cute.. and also the girls wardrobe are a vivid description of how someone would look wearing that….
I could definitely say the book is everything, from what kind of boys to choose, what to wear on a date, what attracted them most to girls, what to do and don’t…it is basically a step-to-step- process in order for a girl to find the one…yup…from finding to rejecting,,it’s all there..:)
Pack with excellent advices and easy stages that would surely point you to your BOY…cute, funny and informational..I love this book plus with adorable illustrations.
Me?...I haven’t finish yet reading it,..cause I’m still experimenting with the tips but so far it all worked out for me…SO maybe, you should try it tooooo and forget that boys are problems…:)

At first, I thought the book is all about action or the agent thing…. But as I turned the pages, it change to something hmmph.. unexplainable , maybe science-based…
The story, obviously is unique I haven’t heard of anything like this. It’s also well-written, page-turning actually, I can’t wait to know more what will happen with the characters. ..and by the way, the turn of events are sooo unpredictable….
This book has an air of sci-fi, manga, and action… I love all the illustrations..cool..and awesome..and I also like the fighting stance….made me imagine it..:)
There’s also a bit of sisterhood, friendships and I really hope romance…
At first thought, I think it’s not so wholesome…but then when I realized it’s more of a need, well, actually they want it too, I begin to somehow get used to it…especially when there’s 3 of them…
The hair thing is actually funny, especially when it starts stealing chocolates and dictating them…
I actually thought and until now wish that Abbey would find it in her heart that she loves_____, I guess it would be impossible, since her hair control her…
I hope there’s a sequel with Abbey and ___..hmm…just saying..:)
If you want something unique, with lots of manga, action and sci-fi(since I don’t know what it is)….Grab this book and enjoy it for yourself!

Easy to understand clear advice is given to every day problems Example: When you get an urge to bite: We all get those normal urges to bite things, and I must point out it is very normal, Claws are all well and good in a fight but a bite gives the extra advantage of getting a refreshing drink at the same time. Lots of girls worry about showing their Fangs in public believing that to show your fangs is rude, but don't be shy they can be a girls greatest asset (ok second greatest asset) if a boy is being rude to you, don't just snarl at him, just bite him! You are a vampire why do you think you have sharp teeth if not for sinking them into a boy that is being rude to you.
Fang’s Rule is a teenage girls guide to being a Vampire , that said, this a guide from A-Z which is all about a vampire’s lifestyle, etc,.
I enjoyed this book a lot, especially nowadays when every talk in town, especially girl’s gossips consisted of vampires, romance and gothic, well, this a good take, anew taste of vampirism, since this is light and funny, and surely recommended for all ages, there’s no horrid nor goric thoughts in this.
The book is nice since it acts as a way of a teenage vampire girl to help her fellow vampires to cope with their surroundings, everything from fashion, food/blood, rank, covens, family, undead and even boyfriends, dates and romance are tackled in this cute book---a book any girl would want to have.
This guide is well written, it didn’t look like the usual printed books but rather as if it’s really a journal, but I have no trouble reading..:) with its conversational tone it was easy to follow.
Ms. Amy Mah has a wonderful sense of humor and this book is a masterpiece! There are lots of things in this guide that I have never heard of before. I thought I knew vampires!
In addition to good humor, which in every word made me laugh out loud plus a very gorgeous manga art by Heby Sim, layout and design was done by Nicholas Reardon this book is a must-have for every girl, or those who want to feel-like…:)
I really really love the drawings, vibrant and colorful, especially the cover, so Asian and spells dark..:) I read this in one sitting.
This book is either outrageously funny or awesomely funny, but I’ll stick to the latter.
Manga book lovers, vampire lovers, girlish, artist would surely enjoy this… all the while with many laughs throughout the awesome artwork pages. I never thought being a vampire could be this fun!

I found this book a light and easy read… making me laugh most of the time… and of course there was a time when I got teary-eyed that’s at the end part of the book when I thought he was gonna choose to do the thing I hate him to do other than be with Nora..:)…(I sound so complicated but you could understand this if you read the book)
This book is full of humor…. I have never read one like this which I think the comedy is natural… I laugh good-heartedly especially when it comes to Mrowley..I adored him a lot…never thought cats could be so cute yet extremely annoying…
And not just humor,…this book also has lots of little magic, demons, romance and even nymphs…
It was fun reading from the perspective of a third-world mage what our modern world looks like.. I appreciate the subtle warning and viewpoint of the author concerning the harmful effects modernization could bring and how it could damage nature… It’s also a cute thing seeing Darakin try out modern things he hadn’t know what to do with.
Ms. Difar’s book didn’t have to transform me into another world just to enjoy it…it was definitely enjoying even if the scenes take place at our familiar world..It was the total package of the book from the characters, the plot, the ending, the magic..everything that makes you want to grab it and settle for a good read…:)

First and foremost the cover is stunning, it really pique my attention and urges me to request a review copy for it..well, I was not wrong, I was definitely engrossed with the book…
Plus a foreword by Kelly Armstrong, New York Times bestselling author of Bitten.
From its stunning cover…I enjoyed reading the different stories offered, each of it with its own remarkable plot and characters…of page by page ghosts, vampires, werewolves, demons, alive paintings…everything a reader’s mind hasn’t yet discovered.
It is a well-written and well-edited book…:).. Each story giving the reader a crescendo of anticipation as to what kind of creatures would be offered next..
A fast-read..actually I read this book in one sitting, not missing a single word of it….I am transported into each world of magic and the unknown..and it feels like I was there with them, feeling the torture and the ecstacy….that’s how good authors could stir a readers imagination by just words…and admittedly I found myself included in those readers.
Off course it came to the fact..that there are my favourite ones like Cover him with Darkness and The Blood Moon Kiss…I really really loved this two….some of the stories are not so appealing to me..but all in all it’s a great packaged of literature and the supernatural…
It’s a book pack of romance, supernatural beings, suspense, mysteries, and erotica…
Now I know that fear coupled with love and anticipation makes a good couple.. Maybe that’s the reason why a lot of girls around in the world never stop dreaming of a vampire to bit them and bring them to his mysterious yet romantic world..a world of forever…
To every girl out there….or any young adults who want to enjoy a good,romantic, goose-bump-read..you should grab this one!

I enjoyed a good fright and anticipation as to what the characters might discover next in their explorations..
I still shiver when at the end of the book, I realized their previous encounters and what it really meant..
Well, I guess, this book serves as a warning to all those who seek inhuman things to be prepared for what evil it might bring to them.... and that there are a lot of Divine Interventions in the world where humans couldn’t even fathom but still should be thankful for..God is there all along.... I realized too that it’s better to focus on school than seek for late-night adventures.....
I think though that the summary should be reversed or edited since the book is not just all about ghost, it has its based on the crime at the movie theatre..so maybe they should include that.....
Mixed with murder and again conspiracies and ghost stories, this ghost-themed book is definitely to watch out for....
Mr. Brokos combined both worlds of reality and unreal in the story, making it enticing and engaging..
This book isn’t really frightening..but it would fill you with suspense and anticipation..and may make your mind a little crazy of the revelations.... Mr. Brokos will really be a great conspiracy writer.....

From the cover up to its end..though it’s a bit goric…
The story is fast-paced, full of twist and turns, unexpected situations, revelations and outcomes..
There comes even a time, when I was lost a second, ( that’s how past everything happens)… what’s great here, is the story didn’t need to jump from one scene to another, it just that the flow is perfect leading this one to another.. it just fits perfectly…
I also salute Mr. Brokos for an innovative mind, and the things he revealed as US government conspiracy.. it’s awesome and stunning..(well, if those things actually happen in life…
I remember came back for my things in the baggage counter in a mall, the baggage boy asked me, if this book is really based on truth… I asked him why would he say that..and he said he can’t help but get curious especially when he saw the cover but swore that he only read the first pages… well, what can I say, I don’t know too, since the author said in a note to a reader that this is based on real people and locations… so it’s up to YOU..what d’you think about the book.
Suspense, thrill, conspiracies, deceit and humor pack up into a little book..That’s another thing I want to take up here, I really wish it’s a little bit longer…I was left wanting for more when I turned the page and discovered the cover..it was truly a cliff-hanger yet fulfilling!
Recommended to everyone who wants to experience some spooky and conspiring tale!... A really good book!

I read a
great deal of reviews for this book ,both good and bad before requesting
this..I just got really curious to what became one of the Amazon’s bestselling sci-fis..
I’d rather
say that for those who said this is some work like a techno-babble, you might
be wrong, that’s how sci-fi works, it might get too confusing but admit it…this
book is great and in its finest… if you can’t stand lengthy science
explanations then why bother to read one when you know you won’t really
appreciate it?..
This book is
made by a sci-fi genius and is intended for sci-fi lovers, you can’t expect a
romance-addict to be addicted into this..
As for the
missing pages, I guess it happens to ARC’s but mines perfectly ok..
By the
way..the plot although not entirely unique… the author made sure to include a
great deal of originality in his work while combining techniques and styles
from others to make his work to perfection…
It was a
fast-read..with vivid descriptions and stunning characters.. With twist and turns
everywhere, a never-ending story that didn’t slow down.. It seems that I can’t
get enough of the revelations and mysteries unfolding in the story..
I’ll admit
that the end goes a little down…but it’s a cliff-hanger so what could anyone do
about it than to wait and read the sequel of the book?

offered readers with a book that could stir your imagination to things yet
unknown to humans..it’s a new world of creation and destinies, life and death,
computers, programs, aliens and many more…. It could make you think that this
might happen a million years from now…how would it be like when the sun, the
stars start dying out in other galaxies, could there really be a star-stealing?
This book
would definitely be someday a Hollywood thriller, you could liken it to Star
Wars but in books..I believe that Alex Detail’s Evolution would be better at the camera!
I’m hooked—so
off to read the sequel… Grab this book..and see for yourself!..highly
recommended..:)

Everyone of us might have heard what happened in Mindanao, especially Cagayan and Iligan part..
Typhoon Sendong Killed 600+ people and counting. many people are still missing.. i feel sorry for the people of Mindanao. Its Christmas Season and the people here hadn't expect such a thing since Mindanao rarely experienced typhoons, if not just heavy rains..but certainly no flashfloods...
